Updating the Mikbox firmware with a serial or USB update cable

 

If you purchased a mikbox update cable, you can connect a laptop or PC to the phone-connector in the car's armrest, and update the firmware by running the update program. The program will automatically detect the version of the mikbox and update the correct new firmware to it.

WARNING:

Although the serial update cable appears to be a DB9 to RJ48 adapter cable, it is NOT. There is a circuit board inside the DB9 connector. If you use a straight through cable, trying  to connect the Mikbox to a PC or laptop, the Mikbox will be damaged.
